Pharmacological action: Antibacterial spectrum and antibacterial activity of this product are basic the same with ampicillin. Because it is better than ampicillin absorption of animals with single stomach, and its blood concentration is higher, it has better effect on systemic infection. It's suitable for systemic infection caused by sensitive bacteria, including respiratory system, urinary system, skin and soft tissue.
This product is quite stable to hydrochloric acid in gastric juice. After taken orally, single stomach animals can absorb 74%~92%. Gastrointestinal content affect the absorption rate, but it does not affect absorption degree, so it can be mixed feeding with medicine. After taken the same dose orally, the serum concentration ratio of amoxicillin is 1.5~3 times higher than of ampicillin. Apparent volume of distribution for dog is 0.2L/kg. Half-life period of horse, cattle, goat, sheep, dog and cat respectively is 0.66, 1.5, 1.12, 0.77and 0.75~1.5 hours.
Indication: Mainly used for infection on gram-positive cocci and gram-negative bacterium that is sensitive to amoxicillin.
Dosage and administration: Meter as Amoxicillin. By Intramuscular and subcutaneous injection: one dose for cattle, pig, dog and cat 15mg/kg body weight, if necessary, can be reinjected after 48 hours.
Cautions:
(1) Shake up before using.
(2) Milk mustn't be drinking during treatment and before drug withdrawal 96 hours.
Adverse reaction: It has strong interference effect on the normal flora in gastrointestinal tract. Ruminant taken medication orally can cause gastrointestinal dysfunction.
Off drug period: Cattle, pigs 28 days, and abandon milk period 96 days.
