By reversibly binding to the receptor on the 30S subunit of the bacterial ribosome, doxycycline interferes with the formation of ribosome complex between tRNA and mRNA, prevents the extension of peptide chain and inhibits protein synthesis, so that the growth and reproduction of bacteria are rapidly inhibited. Doxycycline can inhibit both gram-positive and gram-negative bacteria and has cross-resistance with oxytetracycline and chlortetracycline. Indication : Tetracycline antibiotics. For the treatment of Gram-positive, negative bacteria and mycoplasma caused by swine infectious diseases, such as mycoplasma pneumonia, escherichia coli, salmonellosis, pasteurellosis and so on.
