Florfenicol 300mg
Indications:
It is used for treatment of respiratory diseases (E. coli respiratory disease.
sacculitis or colicepticemia) caused by E. coliin broiler chicken. lt is used for preventive and therapeutictreatment of gastrointestinal and respiratorytract infections, caused by florfenicol sensitive micro-organisms such asActinobaccillus spp. Pasteurella spp.Salmonella spp.and Streptococcus spp.inswine and poultry.
Dosages for each species:
Poultry 100 mL per 1500 Kg b.w. is used byadding to the drinking water for 5 daysSwine 350 ml oral solution is added 1000liters of drinking water for 5 days.
Over dosages:
ln toxicology studies where feeder calveswere injected with up to 10 times the recommendeddosage, the adverse effects noted abovewere seen, plus increased serum enzymes.These effects
were generally transient in nature. Long-term43 days) standard dosage studies showed atransient decrease in feed consumption, butno long-term negative effects were noted.
