pharmacologic action:  
Pharmacodynamics Albendazole is a class of benzimidazole, which has a broad spectrum of deworming effects. It is sensitive to nematodes, and has strong effects on tapeworms and trematodes (but requires large doses), but is ineffective for schistosomiasis.
Pharmacokinetics: Albendazole is a benzimidazole drug which is well absorbed by oral administration. Cattle can absorb 50% of the administered dose from the GI tract.
Drug interactions: Albendazole combined with praziquantel can increase the plasma concentration of the former.
Indication : An anti-worm drug. Used for animal nematode disease, tapeworm disease and paragonimiasis.
Usage and dosage: for oral administration: one dose each 10kg bodyweight ., horse 0.5-1pc;cattle .sheep 1-1.5pcs; pig 0.5-1 pc; dog 2.5-5 pcs; poultry 1-2 pcs.
Adverse reaction : Dogs treated with 50mg/kg twice a day will gradually develop anorexia
Precaution: Cattle and sheep should not be used within the first 45 days of gestation.
Withdrawal time: Cattle 14 days, sheep 4 days, pig 7 days. Poultry 4 days. Milk abandonment period of 60 hours.
